Fire Damage – Columbus Home
Fire damage to this Columbus home began in the kitchen when an overhead fan had an electrical short. The fire spread to the adjacent dining room shown in the photo. Both the kitchen and the dining room had significant fire damage and much residue from the fire extinguisher along with water damage from the fire-fighting efforts. There would need to be lots of cleanup before the restoration project could begin. Once the cleanup was completed the damaged ceiling and wall sheetrock would need to be torn down and disposed of properly. The absence of the ceiling drywall would make the drying process easier. The floors would need to be checked for moisture accumulation in the subfloor. In this case, the flooring could be restored with drying. SERVPRO? Of South Columbus routinely provides these services to homeowners in need.
